Products & Supported Flows
Absolute
The Absolute product is real time declined payments recovery, with guarantee. Bounce supports a few transaction flows for Absolute:
Buyer initiates a one-time purchase on your checkout page. After the payment was declined Bounce will review the transaction and return a response indicating if Bounce approves and guarantees the transaction. After an approval, Bounce will try to recover the transaction through the merchant’s existing processing flow.
The buyer signed up for a subscription, and upon renewal, the merchant initiates a recurring payment on behalf of the buyer. In this flow, if the merchant tried to charge the buyer and the transaction was declined, Bounce will review the transaction and return a response indicating if Bounce approves and guarantees the transaction. This flow can also work in cases where the merchant has activated an in-house retry flow which did not recover the transaction.
After an approval, Bounce will try to recover the transaction through the merchant’s existing processing flow.
When a buyer signs up for a subscription (SaaS or any other recurring payment), and upon charge the payment was declined. In this case, the merchant will send Bounce the declined transaction for review. Bounce will decide whether to approve and guarantee the transaction, so that the subscription will be created in real time. After an approval, Bounce will try to recover the transaction through the merchant’s existing processing flow.
Holistic
In this flow, the merchant uses Bounce for retrying cases where subscription renewals were declined. In this case, Bounce will not guarantee the recovery, and will only be used to create and execute the renewals scheduling.
Swift
The Swift product is real time free trial sign up analysis that identifies cases of false sign ups and suggests actions to optimize conversion to paid users.
In this flow, the merchant asks subscribers to add their card before starting a free trial. This leads to higher decline rates in the end of free trials, as subscribers are using cards that cannot be charged. Bounce will identify these cases when the user registers to the free trial, to increase conversion.
In this flow, the merchant allows users to start a free trial without adding a payment method. When free trial ends, the user is prompt to add a payment methods which is then declined. In this flow, Bounce will analyze the decline and identify cases where the decline can be recovered. .
